In 1995, as Rev Godwin Thiagaraja was passing through the Bible College of Malaysia at Jalan Gasing, he was filled with a tremendous burden to start a Tamil service in Glad Tidings PJ. In March 1995, GT saw the birthing of the Tamil church services on Sunday evenings. The first service saw 6 people in attendance, and this quickly grew to 25 people over a short period of time and stabilized at 30 people. Rev Godwin who was seconded to Malaysian Tamil Bible Institute in 1996, handed the mantle of leadership to Rev Billy Ratnam in June 1996.

Today, after many years of sowing and reaping, the Tamil Church has grown to 200 people worshipping the Lord in the Sunday services.

1995ம் ஆண்டு, சங்கை காட்வின் தியாகராஜா அவர்கள் ஜலான் காசிங்-ல் அமைந்துள்ள மலேசியா வேதாகம கல்லூரி வழியாய் கடந்து செல்கையில் கிளாட் தைடிங்க்ஸ் பி.ஜே திருச்சபையில் தமிழ் ஆராதனை ஆரம்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்கிற மிகப் பெரிய பாரத்தினால் நிரப்பப்பட்டார். 1995ம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் கிளாட் தைடிங்க்ஸ் திருச்சபையானது, தமிழ் சபை ஆராதனைகளை, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை மாலை ஆராதனையாக பிறப்பு கண்டது. முதல் ஆராதனையில் 6 பேர் பங்கு பெற்றனர், அது குறுகிய காலத்தில் 25 பேராக வளர்ந்து பின்னர் 30 பேருடன் உறுதிப்பட்டது. இதனிடையே 1996ம் ஆண்டு சங்கை காட்வின் அவர்கள் மலேசிய தமிழ் வேதாகம நிறுவனத்தின் இரண்டாவதாக பொறுப்பு ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். எனவே அவர் 1996ம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் மாதம் தமிழ் சபையின் தலைமை தீபத்தை சங்கை பில்லி ரத்னம் அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்படைத்தார்.

அநேக ஆண்டுகளின் விதைப்பும் மற்றும் அறுப்புக்கு பிறகு, இன்று தமிழ் சபையானது 200க்கு மேற்பட்ட விசுவாசிகள் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகளில் தேவனை ஆராதிக்க வளர்ந்துவிட்டது.
